Teacher Credentials

Anita Yee Belansky graduated cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and has taught piano for more than 35 years. She studied piano and pedagogy with Barbara Ann Walker (student of Olga Steeb) and with Dr. Joan Woods (student of Paul Badura-Skoda, Lili Kraus, and George Shearing). She has taught group piano for Yamaha Music School and has been a guest speaker and clinician at colleges and conventions.

Ms. Belansky is also the creator of the Keyboard Studies Planner™ assignment notebook and the Games Composers Play series, and is co-creator of PBJ Basics of Keyboard Theory Comupter Activities, Levels P-4.

For the past several years, the theme recital programs of AYB Music have won MTAC state recognition for including such features as student participation in program artwork, skit development and acting, narration, topic research, special guest appearances, and community involvement.

An active member of the Music Teachers' Association of California, the National Guild of Piano Teachers, the California Association of Professional Music Teachers, and the Music Teachers National Association, Ms. Belansky maintains a private studio in Southern California.
